Altering the Space

After as a group it was suggested we can use fabric to shape the space, I decided to look in to how it could be used and also how the colours used also effect the atmosphere of the space.

The image above depicts various tones of the colour red draped from the centre. I think this style for our show would work really effectively, however I think the tones are too strong for our theme of ethereal and we would have to focus on using softer colours. The next two images use a muted cream colour in which the fabric has been manipulated to shape the space. The image below could be an interest aspect to follow, and to develop this we could hang fabrics in various placements which would create movement when viewers walk around the exhibition. The very bottom image shows an alternative way to use fabric when shaping the room. It uses soft colours layered in various manners this would also link well to our chosen theme. I think to develop the idea of ethereal further we should explore the use of lighting within exhibitions and how it adds to the atmosphere of the show in general.
