Advertisement Development

Hannah and I decided to use one of Jack Marders pieces as the basis for our design, this is because of the delicacy of the image itself and also as it was used for the press release it links the exhibition together as a whole. We also discussed overlaying the background image with a number of bold white texts in order to explore which style would be the most effective. Hannah designed the following flyers, which we will then take into the next group meeting for the majority vote for the favored design.

This design shows an experimentation with the text over the image. The bold white colour stands out against this busy background. I think this text however is too bold as it does not reflect the idea of Ethereal as the concept behind this should be the epitome of delicacy.
This flyers uses a much more elegant text which resembles our theme. In my opinion the text works really well in relation to the background and it also has all of the relevant information, although the dates and time do need changing. My only criticism for this design is that the text is too joint together is may make the writing difficult for the viewer to read, therefore I think we should take advantage of spacing the writing.
Personally I think this design is the strongest. This is as a result of the combination of elements from the two previous designs. The text is taken from the last design, the size makes the title eye catching. All of the text stating the relevant details is then generously spaced out allowing it to be easily read. It definitely reflects our theme through its beautiful and elegant design. I think we should use this design for our final advertising purposes.
